Exploring Germany’s Unification: An In-depth Seminar at Al-Baydar Center for Studies and Planning

In the framework of the initiatives adopted by the Al-Baydar Centre for Studies and Planning to enhance strategic understanding and build both the individual and the state, the centre held its dialogue seminar titled “Lessons for Iraq from the Union of East and West Germany in 1991.”

In a remarkable display of diplomatic expertise, His Excellency Ambassador Luqman Al-Faili, the esteemed Iraqi Ambassador to Germany, delivered a captivating seminar that shed light on the invaluable German experience and its potential benefits for Iraq. With a comprehensive vision and a meticulous analysis of historical events and present-day challenges, Ambassador Al-Faili left no stone unturned in his quest to explore the lessons that Iraq can glean from Germany’s journey.

The seminar witnessed a prominent and diverse attendance from various figures, including the Deputy Foreign Minister of Iraq and the Acting German Charge dAffaires, who praised the seminar and emphasised the importance of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The seminar also saw focused discussions by attendees to analyse the experience and discuss its possible application in Iraq, highlighting the importance of such sessions in enhancing mutual understanding and supporting Iraq on its path towards stability and prosperity.
