Mosul in Turkish Strategic Thought (A Documentary Study)
The book reviews the fundamental documents and treaties related to (Mosul) in its historical context and Turkey’s claim to it, in addition to studying these documents and researching Turkey’s claimed right to violate Iraq’s sovereignty and enter its territory based on an agreement or a text that regulates this issue. The book examined several agreements, such as the Ankara Agreement and the Treaty of Lausanne, among others, to reveal facts and information related to the subject. Researching the issue of Mosul and its relationship with Turkey, especially after the end of the Ottoman rule, the beginning of the British occupation, and the establishment of the new Iraqi state in 1921, is one of the main and sensitive subjects in the history and present of the Iraqi state, requiring careful study and consideration to reach mature decisions on this matter.
